Making A Statement

In the world of sports, we hear a lot about statement games and a team needing a victory. Saturday's season finale between the C.W Post Lady Pioneers and the Queens College Lady Knights was just that. Knowing a Post win would lock up the number three seed in the East Coast Conference and set up a rematch with Queens on Wednesday in the opening round of the conference tournament, the Pioneers looked to avenge their recent two game losing streak and bring momentum back on their side.

Like the rest of the east coast, the Pioneers can't seam to escape snow. A season that was scheduled to start on February 13th has seen six consecutive games postponed because of weather. <br />
The cancellations haven't just affected games scheduled in the northern areas of the east coast either.
